Professor Gourmand — August 2023

We started the month August 2nd at Boneyard Bistro, which I had neglected terribly during July. I brought in my brand new bottle of Barolo Chinato Cocchi, a first class wine with amaro herbs and spices, and Ethan made me a martini with Four Barrels Olive Leaf Gin and the Barolo. Fabulous. I ordered onion rings, and as I finished them, I finished the martini, Next, a split order, some Junipero Gin with a nice mezcal and the Barolo. Wonderful. A guy — Charlie — sat down next to me, and Ethan introduced me as an expert on Amaros. Of course, I shared the Barolo Chinato with him (and ended up giving him my gin list). I drank…
